Life Development Classes are designed to help you know our heart and commitment to God, His Word and each other. These are the classes that will help you grow in your relationship to God and give you the power to live, minister, lead, and partner with Bethany Assembly of God. Classes are taught by the pastoral staff and facilitated by leaders regularly throughout the year.

Our goals for the Life Development Classes are twofold:

  1. To give each person a measurable track of growth as well as a vision of what each can become when they give themselves fully to Christ.
  2. To ensure that each person representing Bethany Assembly in any kind of ministry has been both properly trained, and has made a personal commitment to the overall life and health of this local body of Christian believers.

Some development classes include:

Class 101

The Power for Living: Primary purpose is to enable each person in their growth toward spiritual maturity. This course is for new believers as well as believers who desire to gain a deeper understanding of the basic principles of our Christian faith. Topics introduced will be:

  • The Power of the Word
  • The Power of Salvation
  • The Power of Prayer
  • The Power of the Spirit-Filled Life

Class 201

The Power of Partnership: Ever what it means to become a member of Bethany Assembly of God? This question is answered throughout this course, identifying our vision, beliefs, purpose, and structure as well as topics such as: worship, fellowship, evangelism, discipleship, and ministry.

Class 301

Power of Ministry: this course is designed to help individuals identify spiritual gifts so to be better used within the church. The topics discussed in this course are:

What is Ministry? How do I relate to Ministry? How has God shaped me for Ministry? Explanation of Spiritual gifts, and Where do I fit and how do I get connected with a ministry.

Class 401

The Power of Leadership: This class will not only teach you the power of leadership, but will equip you with the skills necessary to lead. Subjects addressed in this course are:
How to dream, Rebounding from rejection, Overcoming Temptation, Dealing with Accusers, and God’s blessings and rewards.
