We believe in living generously and investing in the next here at Bethany as part of living vibrant life of loving God, loving others, and loving life.
The Old Testament instructs us to give back to God what belongs to Him, called a tithe which is the first 10% of our gross income. Malachi 3:10 promises if we bring the whole tithe into the storehouse (the Church), God will open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing – more than we can contain! The New Testament introduces giving above the tithe: generously giving over and above the tithe. We give our tithe as an act of worship and obedience and we give cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7) and out of a generous heart towards ministry (missions works, benevolence, special offerings, etc.)
Kingdom Builders Stewardship Fund
Kingdom builders is a fund designated for local, national, and global projects that further the message of hope through Jesus. Whether food distribution during COVID 19, partnering with the Red Cross for blood drives, contribution to local non-profits like Share the Warmth or the Boys and Girls Club of Lenawee or supporting global missions, we believe living generously impacts today and eternity as we show God’s love in practical ways. For Lenawee is our local stewardship platform for distributing funds and resources as well as building strategic shared-value relationships.
90 Day Challenge
It takes Courage to Give
The word "tithe" is derived from the Hebrew word ma'aser and it literally means a tenth. In Malachi 3:10-11, God says "Bring the whole tithe to the storehouse that there may be food in My house." The 'storehouse' is the Old Testament picture of the New Testament church. So as New Testament believers, we worship the Lord with the tithe; or the ten percent.
The Church is told in Proverbs 3:9-10 to "honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first-fruits of all your crops and then your barns will be filled to overflowing." As you give the blessings of God follow.
