Our Common Faith
All have sinned and that sin separates us from God and His purpose for our lives.
You were created to exist forever in one of two places: heaven or hell. In hell, we are eternally separated from God because of sin. In Heaven we are eternally united with God because of His forgiveness and Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.
God is our always-loving, never-giving-up-on-us Father. He gave His Son Jesus to make a way for us to be His own children.
Jesus is both man and God. He is the answer to make us right before God.
Jesus paid the price for our sins. We can accept this free gift, when we confess our sins and realize our need for Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is our guide, counselor, and helper given to us the moment we receive Christ. He empowers us to understand and live out spiritual truth, to grow in our faith, to spread the good news of Christ, and to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit to live out our faith.
The Bible is God’s final, accurate and authoritative Word that applies to our everyday lives and guides us to live a full life.
Water Baptism is an outward expression of the inward transformation that happens once we surrender our lives to Christ.
The Power of God is meant to be a part of our everyday lives when we are in relationship with Jesus. God desires not only to save us from our sins, but to transform our lives on earth as we carry His power that works in us and through us.
Community facilitates spiritual and emotional health along with purpose. When we come together with our individual God-given gifts we can operate as a fully functioning faith community where we can grow in His purpose for our lives in relationship with God, with others, and reaching outside of our faith community into our local community with the love of Christ.
Bethany is part of a fellowship of churches known as the Assemblies of God. As a Christian congregation we agree to abide by Our Fundamental Truths.
